DIVINE PROTECTION

And God, in his mighty power, will protect you until you receive this salvation, because you are trusting him. It will be revealed on the last day for all to see. So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. – 1 Peter 1:5-6 (NLT)

            The President of the United States never lives one moment without being guarded by the Secret Service. Every move that he makes comes under their watchful eye. He is assured that there will never be a time when they are not looking out for him.

            Most of us will never receive this level of protection for our lives. Unless a person is very important or very wealthy this type of security is not available. Yet if you are a believer in Jesus Christ there is a greater protection available for you. God promises to guard you until the day that you finally experience the full realization of salvation. His promise is based on the simple fact that you have placed your trust in Him. While trials and tribulation may come our way, they do not dictate our attitude toward the future. We know, based on God’s promise, that we can rejoice today because we know that the truest form of joy awaits us in the day yet to come. God is watching us, protecting us, and looking forward to the time when we can be together with Him. We find our delight in these truths.
