BELIEF
BRINGS BOLDNESS But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the
psalmist had when he said, "I believed in God, and so I
speak." We know that the same God who raised our Lord Jesus will
also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself along with you. – 2 Corinthians 4:13-14 (NLT)
True faith in the promise of God results in the courage to share
the message of God no matter what perils that message might bring. The
willingness to preach without hesitation the whole counsel of God is
inherently tied to faith. Those who trust in the promise will prove that
trust by faithfully delivering the message God has revealed. Those who
fail to speak for God expose their lack of confidence in God’s promise
as well as their lack of certainty in the message God has given.
With the knowledge of a future resurrection in mind, it is not
difficult to bolster up enough courage to speak the words that God has
placed on our hearts. What can we possibly fear from mere human beings
when we are living in resurrection power? Will harsh words or even
physical persecution be able to silence us? Even if our lives are taken
because of the message we preach, we know that we will rise again! PRAYER THOUGHT: Mighty God, I will not hesitate to
share Your message with the world around me. You have instilled within
me a boldness not my own. Thank You for Your promise of resurrection. |
