TRUE TO HIS
WORD For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in him. That is why we say
"Amen" when we give glory to God through Christ.
– 2 Corinthians
Every promise made concerning the Messiah in the Bible has been
completely satisfied in the Person of Jesus Christ. There was not one
prophecy made, one truth told, or one guarantee promised that was not
fulfilled by Jesus. His arrival on the scene, the life that He lived, as
well as His death and resurrection have accomplished each and every
promise that has been made.
In addition, every promise concerning those who have placed their
faith in Jesus has been fulfilled, established, verified, and confirmed
through the Christ. Every
believer can claim the promises of God for his/her life, not because of
any personal accomplishment, but because of Jesus who fulfills all that
He set out to accomplish.
Our agreement to what Jesus has accomplished is a source of
praise and worship to God the Father. When we trust in Christ’s
sufficiency to both fulfill the biblical mandates concerning Himself, as
well as the promises concerning those who place their faith in Him, we
are shouting a loud “Amen” to the Father in acknowledgement of all
that He has done. PRAYER THOUGHT: Father, I know I can
trust You. All of Your promises are affirmed in Your Son. |
