LIVING
WISDOM If you are wise and understand God's ways, live a life of steady goodness
so that only good deeds will pour forth. And if you don't brag about the
good you do, then you will be truly wise! – James
The way that we live our daily lives broadcasts to the world
around us the level of godly understanding that we either do or do not
have. True wisdom is seen and not silent, demonstrated and not just
contemplated. It is shown in the good works done in Christ’s name and
the exemplary attitudes that lead us in ministry to others. When we are
truly wise, we live like God lives. We see that type of living in the
life of Jesus Christ. He is the perfect example of wisdom for this, and
every age.
At the core of true wisdom is a humility that does not seek
credit for the good that has been done. There is no accomplishment that
we can point to and then bask in the glory. All that we think, do, say,
or achieve is driven by our desire to please God. It is in our
acknowledgement of His wisdom that we become truly wise ourselves. The
reality of our situation is that we could not do anything unless God
granted us the ability to do it. The truly wise person models God in
every way. PRAYER THOUGHT: Father, I have no
wisdom I can call my own. You are all wise, and do everything right.
